Virtual Consciousness-Raising on Education

Join us for a virtual Consciousness-Raising (CR) on public education. As K-12 schools are reopening across our state and nation, it is increasingly apparent that our public education system is not meeting the needs of children, educators, parents or their communities. We want to compare and contrast how we are each individually impacted by (K-12) public education, and what changes would improve our lives. This CR is meant for parents, caretakers and women without children.
In CR, women answer questions from their own experience, and then the group uses these testimonies to find the political roots of our so-called “personal” problems.
CR questions:
- Whether or not you have kids, how do the schools (public, private, university, etc) opening up impact you?
- Whether or not you have kids, how did the school closure impact you?
Each person who testifies will have approx 4 minutes. Afterwards we'll discuss the testimony and draw conclusions.
