Pride Student Union is leading a consciousness-raising (CR) with NWL on how queer and trans identities intersect with the Women's Liberation movement. The CR will be followed by suggestions on how to get involved in Gainesville community organizing.

In CR participants answer questions from their own experience, and then the group uses these testimonies to find the political roots of the problem being tackled.

CR participants will answer these questions:

• How have the gains of the women’s liberation movement benefited you? If not, why not? How have the gains of the Gay Liberation Movement benefited you? If not, why not?
• Have you ever seen anything homophobic or transphobic and opposed it? What motivated you? Have you ever seen anything homophobic or transphobic and not opposed it? What motivated you?
• How has the intersection of your identities impacted your choices in your activism?

This CR is for self-identified women, femmes, nonbinary folks.
