The NWL Women of Color Caucus (WOCC) is hosting a community Consciousness-Raising (CR) on Sunday, Nov. 14 from 3-5pm, which will be a follow up to the COVID CR series that NWL hosted last year. This meeting is for women* of color only. RSVP required

The CR question we will be answering is:

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected you? (health-wise, economically, etc.) Has it cost you anything? Have you gained anything? What support did you need during the pandemic that you got? What support did you need during the pandemic that you have not gotten?

CR is is a tool that the Women’s Liberation Movement adopted from the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s, where it was called “telling it like it is.” In C-R, women answer a question using examples from their personal lives, then the group uses these personal testimonies to draw conclusions about the political root of women’s so-called “personal” problems.

*Cis women, trans women, and trans people who are oppressed as women who have a political priority in fighting male supremacy.
