That white working class people continue to identify with the capitalist 1% who are responsible for the pain in our daily lives. \nWhile Clinton got the popular vote\, a bigoted billionaire bully has taken the top spot in our country as a nightmare backlash against our first African-American President. NWL commits to build a resistance movement and stand up for justice. We need you. \nNow is not the time to retreat and lick our wounds. \nAll of us are under threat\, but in particular we stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters\, our undocumented and people of color brothers and sisters. \nBut standing alone is not enough – we need to be ORGANIZED. \nToday join a group. SUMMARY:NWL at Women's March on Washington & Sister Actions
DESCRIPTION:On January 21\, 2017\, NWL feminists will be proudly and loudly marching and protesting in D.C. at the Women’s March on Washington! If you are not going to D.C.\, you can still protest with NWL at a sister action as part of our 2-day Women’s Strike. \n\nWashington\, D.C. – Women’s March on Washington \n\nWe will be meeting at 9:15 am – 10:00 am at the Northeast corner of Spirit of Justice Park\, C Street SE and New Jersey Avenue SE. One block from the Capitol South Metro Station on the blue line. From there\, we will move to join the Women’s March on Washington\, which begins at 10:00am. \nFrom the march organizers: Backpacks may be searched and nontransparent backpacks may be confiscated. We recommend bringing a small purse or a transparent backpack.  Anything that could be used as a weapon is not allowed. If you are making signs\, remember that sharp sticks to hold up a sign are included in this. Use foam-board signs\, and you could use a soft neck strap instead. \n\nNew York City – Women’s March on New York City\n\nWe will be meeting at 11:30am at East 49th St. and 3rd Ave.\, southeast corner in front of the the Lenscrafters. Look for Women Strike signs. We will start marching at 11:55am.
