SUMMARY:Campus Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join NWL for our first campus committee meeting of the semester. The objective of this committee is to mobilize women in higher education. \nThis month our format is consciousness raising. Please read Kathie Sarachild\, “Consciousness-Raising: A Radical Weapon\,” Feminist Revolution (Redstockings\, 1975). We will continue our work on getting Plan B vending machine on campus. Prepare a response to the following question: \n\n“Have you ever felt embarrassed when buying personal items like birth control\, tampons\, condoms\, etc.? What happened?” \n\nAt the meeting we will each have 3-5 minutes to share our responses in order to develop conclusions that reveal similarities and differences in our experiences. \nWe will also have time to discuss upcoming plans surrounding the potential arrival of Richard Spencer and white nationalists in Gainesville.
