SUMMARY:Pride Student Union-NWL Consciousness-Raising
DESCRIPTION:RSVP here \nPride Student Union is leading a consciousness-raising (CR) with NWL on how queer and trans identities intersect with the Women’s Liberation movement. The CR will be followed by suggestions on how to get involved in Gainesville community organizing. \n\nIn CR participants answer questions from their own experience\, and then the group uses these testimonies to find the political roots of the problem being tackled. \n\nCR participants will answer these questions: \n\nHow have the gains of the women’s liberation movement benefited you? If not\, why not? How have the gains of the Gay Liberation Movement benefited you? If not\, why not?\nHave you ever seen anything homophobic or transphobic and opposed it? What motivated you? Have you ever seen anything homophobic or transphobic and not opposed it? What motivated you?\nHow has the intersection of your identities impacted your choices in your activism?\n\n\nThis CR is for self-identified women\, femmes\, nonbinary folks.
