SUMMARY:Roe v. Wade Event Planning Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Gainesville Chapter of National Women’s Liberation (NWL) is beginning to plan our second annual Roe v. Wade anniversary & NWL benefit show in January. Last year’s event- which featured local female-led bands\, raffle prizes\, political content\, food\, and drinks- was a huge success. Help us do it again and go further this year! \n\nJoin us for our first committee meeting on Thursday\, December 11\, 2014 at 7:00pm at our office downtown\, 14 E. University Ave.\, #204. (The entrance is in the back of the building between the back entrance of Salon La Di Da and the University Club.) \n\nThe right to birth control\, including abortion\, is a cornerstone of women’s freedom. Without an organized\, strong\, visible feminist movement making demands and keeping up the pressure\, Roe v. Wade and other victories we’ve had on abortion\, birth control\, and health care will continue to be threatened.
