DESCRIPTION:Come out to the NWL meeting at Curia on the Drag\, 2029A NW 6th St\, 6:30pm\, Tuesday\, 6/21. Look for us at the tables out back and to the right of the Auk Market and Dad’s Bar. Join us to discuss the ongoing threat to abortion and our plans to launch an offensive – including expanding access to the abortion pill – and ways you can take part. We’ll meet for about an hour and then folks are welcome to stay and grab a coffee/drink for an informal chat with NWL organizers.\n\nAnother way to show your support of abortion rights is to sign and share the Pledge to #AidAndAbetAbortion. DESCRIPTION:Sign up through eventbrite \nLegislative attacks on abortion are heating up across the country\, and the recent leaked draft ruling revealed that the Supreme Court is likely to overturn Roe v. Wade this summer. If Roe v. Wade is overturned\, 26 states are certain or likely to ban abortion this year (PEW). \nJoin NWL on Saturday\, June 25\, for a teach-in exploring the hidden reasons why abortion is under attack and how we can successfully organize a mass movement to fight back. For those to make the in-person event\, there will be tabling with local organizing groups in Gainesville\, FL. Those who are in person are welcome to join us at 11:30. We’ll start the talk and online session at noon. \nAll are welcome to attend regardless of whether you have read the book.

DESCRIPTION:Join NWL NYC for our first in-person meeting of 2022. We’re building a mass movement to fight all abortion bans — no matter what!\n\nThe Supreme Court has released their decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and overturned Roe v. Wade despite the fact that the majority of this country believes in the right to an abortion. This is a devastating decision\, but the time to fight back is now.\n\nJoin NWL organizers at our upcoming meeting to learn about what the Dobbs decision means for abortion rights nationally and what’s happening with abortion rights in New York State. We’ll also discuss our Pledge to #AidAndAbetAbortion\, which demands the federal right to abortion codified in law now and which mobilizes signers to oppose and defy any and all abortion bans.\n\nWe’ll meet at Sheep’s Meadow in Central Park\, at the corner of West Drive and 65th Street Transverse across from Tavern On the Green on Tuesday\, June 28 from 7-8PM (enter the park at W. 65th St. from Central Park West).
