From Dream Defenders: We invite you to join the space and hold conversation to confront the candidates for Alachua County Sheriff. It’s time to talk about the issues affecting and actively harming our community and our people. The Sheriff Office continues arresting people during a crisis, patrolling our communities, and separating families. We demand answers to issues of:
* Defunding the Police
* Police Accountability
* Prioritizing Rehabilitation and Social Services
* Decarceration
* & more
We must hold law enforcement accountable.. Join us on July 11 @ 2 PM to speak up, ask questions, and demand a freer future for Alachua County. It is not a democracy unless the people’s voices are amplified. We will see you there!
